OPEN STUDIO: Attention isa ll you need

At night, we will go, at night, because only thirst illuminates us to find the Source

"Attention is all you need" addresses the intersection between contemporary technology and spiritual searching. Inspired by Luis Rosales' poem, which poetizes the spiritual journey through uncertainty and desire, the exhibition uses this metaphor to explore how digits, specifically transformer algorithms, become a tool for existential search.

Rosales' poem, with its references to the "night", the "thirst", and the "source", provides a conceptual framework for the connection with divinity. The "night" symbolizes the darkness and uncertainty of the spiritual path; the "thirst" represents the insatiable urge for knowledge and transcendence; and the "source" alludes to the origin, the ultimate truth, or the divine. The exhibition translates these abstract ideas into a modern context through the use of technological elements and everyday objects.

"Attention is all you need" invites viewers to consider the role of technology in our lives, not only as a set of functional tools, but as elements that participate in a deeper search for understanding and transcendence. The exhibition suggests that, at the core of our interaction with technology, lies a spiritual longing that has driven humanity throughout history. And in that sense, technology is probably the most human trait of all.
