He studied Plastic Arts at the School of Fine Arts of Sincelejo in 1995 and 1996  and  continued his learning from 1998 to mid-2000 at the School of Fine Arts of Cartagena de Indias, where he attended painting and drawing workshops with the Masters: Francisco Molina, Fabián Rendón, Jorge Riveros, and Santiago Cárdenas.

In 2000, he moved to Bogotá, where  he took an  engraving workshop with master Alfonso Álvarez. In  2003, he had his first solo exhibition at the La Tienda del Arte gallery.

To  date, he has held 20 solo exhibitions in venues such as the Gabriel García Márquez Cultural Center in Bogotá and the Alonso Arte Gallery in Bogotá D.C.; at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C.; and at the Claustro de Santo Domingo Aecid in Cartagena de Indias, among other galleries.

Likewise,  his work has been exhibited  in  38 group exhibitions, the most prominent of which was  Borderless Generation Contemporary Art of Latin America at The Korea Foundation Cultural Center in  Seoul, Korea; he has also  participated in  9 international art fairs such as Artbo, ArteBA, Arte Américas, and  Barcú, among others.

His work is part of the Gun Club Bogotá collection, the LUKAC Lima collection, the CUSEZAR Building Lobby Bogotá, the Dybowski Germany collection, and several  private collections in the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Argentina, Germany, Peru, France, and Colombia.
